The climate out here is continental
extreme, we have the driest country in all the Europe. 2000 mm/
year, compared to the 8000 mm/year the European average. The last
winter was hard with -35 C and mostly wet... Many outdoor cactuses
died in all the major collections. This year was so dry that the
cactuses that were not watered (hardy cacti grown in the field),
dried and died
The coming winter is not expected to be so wet, and not so cold.
This was an exception, but there are an -20 C expected.
