I live in the town of Hednesford (52:42:18N 1:59:33W) Approximately 500 - 600 meters above see level. Our winter lows are typically between -7 and -10 degrees Celsius, The ground temperature often gets down to -15 degrees C. The lowest ever recorded temperature was -26 degrees C (air temperature) at Newport in Shropshire (10th Jan ‘82). First frosts usually come in October, last in June. Our summer highs are 28 degrees C to 32 degrees C. Our climate is very wet with the majority of rain falling in the winter months (the coldest months) Average annual precipitation is between 20 and 30 inches.
