Hi,
I wonder if I could participate in your experiment.
I enclose three pictures of my city, area and garden and hope they are sufficient. I live in the Knotty Ash area of Liverpool, in the Northwest of England. My maximum low last year was -6 centigrade. This year's high was around 32 degrees centigrade. The climate is mild and rainy. I am not sure of the elevation yet but I can find out and inform you if necessary. Here are the pictures.

The test plants in their new home
  November 21 2003
Hi Valentino,
I have just received the plants and promptly re-potted them. When I looked at the test page I realised that I had missed the sentence regarding a greenhouse for one of the Pediocactus. Would it be okay to keep either in an unheated shed or on a windowsill in the house? I am sorry for this oversight and hope it will not interfere with the experiment. I will send pictures of the plants in their pots as soon as I have the time.      Kind Regards Jonathan

sorry I have been so long getting back to you with the end results but I have had terrible computer problems. The two cactus have done very well, being outside in several minus 5's but have been (most of the time) protected from rain by overhead cover. Here's a couple of pictures.
Regards,     Jonathan Poston
