Hello, I would like to take part to
the International winter hardy cactus test
I live the south of France, close to Avignon, old city papal. The
temperature the summer exceeds the 40°C and the winter goes down
towards the 18° to the maximum. Altitude is approximately 70 meters.
I began my collection in this beginning 2003 and now I have 150
cacti and I passed to sowing the last month.
In winter my cacti are in a cold room but the house has a sheltered
terrace where some can remain.
Best regards.

December 06 2003 Hello, Thank
you Valentino,
I received the cacti this morning, they were in full form and I repotted
them immediately, they are superb. I hope that Pediocactus and
Sclerocactus which will remain outdoor on the sheltered terrace (with a
roof) will support the rigour of the winter.
Goodbye. Philippe

Hello Valentino,
today it's a great day, the flowers of my pediocactus is complement
wholly opened, (there remains a bud behind the two flowers). It 's the
pediocactus which was outside during winter, there is no buds on the
second. The Sclerocactus makes new prickles. This winter, the
temperature was about -5° Celsius; the cacti goes marvellously well.
A bientôt.
