....I live in Timisoara,
country Romania and the coordinates for my town are : Lat. 45.8 N ,
Long. 21.2 E and alt. 100 m. The temperatures in winter go down
at -14 C just for few days. During the night temperatures are
between
0- -6 C and during the day they rise to 3- -3 C. In our town ,in
winter exist periods when the snow cover the ground but also periods
when the snow is missing (because the weather becomes a little warm).
I have a greenhouse with a 3X6 m2 surface and a little stone
garden
with Sempervivum, Opuntia and Cylindropuntia species. I have this
hobby regarding the care and cultivation of cactus since 30 years
ago....

test plants in their new home
November 09 2003 I received the test
plants, thank you
on 28.10.2003 and I send to you the images with the winter test plants
in their new home,together with Echinocereus, Neobesseya missouriensis and
some Sempervivum species (the bought of Pediocactus is going to have
flowers).

January 30 2004 I
send two photos with the winter test plants, they looks very fine in the
snow. The min. temperature was -12, after day now -5 and -8 and now the
snow is 20 cm high.
