  Vine climbing without support of tendrils, aerial roots or twining stems.  
     
A clambering stems: is a vine or a thin weak stems climbing without support of tendrils or aerial roots over adjacent vegetation or sprawling across objects.
“Climbing” describes the plant’s clambering growth habit when support is available, while shrub refers to its growth habit  in open ground.
