  A hydathode is a specialized gland on the surface or margin of a leaf of higher plants with one or more openings through which water or unused salts and sugars are excreted from the interior of the leaf to its surface.  

Hydathode are usually located at the ends of leaf veins, often indicated by a white deposit of salts

The process of secreting excess water is called guttation.
