Description: These plant
is one of the most popular and appreciated
Echinopsis cultivars, it is the result of more than 20 years of devoted
work by cacti enthusiast and hybridiser Bob Schick .
Stem: Spherical, up to9 cm in diameter.
Spines: Short, about 2 mm long.
Flower: Bright yellow, fragrant, up to
11(-12) cm across, but usually less than 10 cm.
Tepals: Numerous in 5
whorls, the inner are
obovate, ruffled, the outers are
truncate, broader than inners and projecting beyond them.
Throat-circle: White.
Filaments: Bright yellow.
Stigma:
Exserted, white central. |
Cultivation:
This plant is a summer grower
species that offers no cultivation
difficulties. Water regularly in summer (but do not
overwater ) needs good drainage and very porous soil, keep rather
dry in winter.
Feed with a high potassium
fertilizer in summer.
Need a bright exposure, full sun
or half shade in summer. |
