appreciated Echinopsis cultivars, it is the result of more than 20 years
of devoted work by cacti enthusiast and hybridiser Bob Schick
.
Stem: Spherical, up to10 cm in diameter.
Spines: 15 mm long.
Flower: Very large up to 15 cm (or more)
across.
Tepals: Oblong to
oblanceolate, ruffled near midline, light lavender-pink with darker
midrib and a small rounded white area at base.
Throat-circle: White.
Filaments: White.
Stigma:
Exserted, white central.
Cultivation:
This plant is a summer grower
species that offers no cultivation
difficulties. Water regularly in summer (but do not
overwater ) needs good drainage and very porous soil, keep rather dry
in winter.
Feed with a high potassium
fertilizer in summer.
Need a bright exposure, full sun
or half shade in summer. |
