"bright shade" or "partial filtered sun" An
environment
situation receiving about half a day of direct
sunlight between 4-6 hours of direct sun
(morning sun and afternoon shade)
, such as a very bright location with a high, diffuse
canopy of
trees. Bright
shade is indicated for plant
species
which require some protection from prolonged hot
sun,
but which will
tolerate
about a half-day of full
summer sun.
Often these
species prefer
morning sun and afternoon shade.
