Propagule [ Botany ]

Dictionary of botanic terminology - index of names

     
  A propagule a part of plant (usually referred to a vegetative organ) that becomes detached from the rest and act for the dispersal of the species and from which a new individual may develop. (for example a bud, or other body offshoot capable of independent growth.)  
     
But in general are called propagules all the plants parts (comprises seeds and spores) that detach to give raise to a new plant.
