Bicoloured flowers up to 10/12cm across. Inner and intermediate
tepals
oblanceolate, partially
involute inners dark vermilion sometimes with bright contrasting
paler magenta
margin.
Mr. Schick named this plant after "Madame Pele" the Hawaiian
Volcano and Fire Goddess. The flower is very
impressive and it is not easy to reproduce
the radiance and vividness of colours in a
photography .
