	Echinopsis hybrid cv. MADAME PELE	CACTUS ART NURSERY Cultivation and Mail Sale of Cacti and Succulents.

A Schick Hybrid. ISI 99-13 Schick 881-33. Bicoloured flowers up to 10/12cm across. Inner and intermediate tepals oblanceolate, partially involute inners dark vermilion sometimes with bright contrasting paler magenta margin. Mr. Schick named this plant after "Madame Pele" the Hawaiian Volcano and Fire Goddess. The flower is very impressive and it is not easy to reproduce the radiance and vividness of colours in a photography .

Family: Cactaceae (Cactus Family)

Origin: Garden origin (A distictive cultivar created by cacti enthusiast and hybridiser Bob Schick )

Conservation status: Listed in CITES appendix 2.

Stamens with dark red filaments, whitish anthers. Pure white stigma.
Throat-circle yellowish.
