Adjective: Aborted

Arrest of development (as of an embryo, organ or process) resulting in imperfection or premature termination. Also : a result of such arrest.

An abort is the premature (spontaneous or induced) termination of a biological process in the early stages before it’s full development (e.g. the arrest of a fruit maturation, bud development, etc.)
The result is an interrupted or anomalous growth or the death of the organ.

To terminate a process or development of an organ or embryo , prematurely before completion.

Transitive verb:

a : To induce the abortion.
